We spent three nights and two full days on the Peninsula, drove the Dingle Peninsula circle as recommended. The scenery is breathtaking. Slea Head Drive is a must on the list. The best part was driving all the way to the Brandon Bay, which seemed to me was the road to the end of the world as the it leads straight to the ocean. The way in is the way out. We met an old couple at the end of the road who were sitting in their vehicle bird watching. The gentleman told us Brandon is a place you only visit once in your life time and if we were brave enough, we should try to stand on the rock down the hill. So we took his recommendation and found the rock. The moment we stepped on the rock, the entire Atlantic sea is beneath us and we felt we had the entire ocean to ourselves. It was a magical moment and makes me appreciate the nature even more.
The town of Dingle itself is also amazing. It’s like stepping back in time. Hardware stores, and bike shops are kept as how they were in the old days. All those stores also serve as pubs at night where you can enjoy the traditional Irish music.
